36 Weeks, and Happy Mother's Day!
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to each and every one of you mamas out there...spiritual, physical, both, today is about you. I have cried on this day every year for the past four years and each year it has been about something different. Like many of you, I am so grateful, but I still carry so much pain in my heart...for myself, and for so many others. Thinking of and praying for each one of you today...that you find joy, even in the midst of any pain you might be feeling.
SO!
A quickie, because I need to do some chores while Miss Ei sleeps! Every nap time is a precious chance to work these days, haha!
Our week in review!
We posed with rocks!
We enjoyed some sun!
We met Uncle Si from Duck Dynasty (OK OK, it was actually just the guy re-paving my mom's driveway...but WOAH, right?!)
We napped (both of us).
We dressed like a Starbucks barista.
We took cool hipster selfies.
We played with chalk for the first time!
And ruined our jeans and boots.
And tasted chalk and decided it tasted good enough to keep eating.
We walked outside with Nana (while mommy waddled behind).
We practiced ballet poses.
Confession: yes, we watched some TV.
We met dad at the train with kisses!
And posed for cute pictures.
We read books with Pops.
We became absolutely FASCINATED with baby (including insisting on pulling mommy's shirt up to see her weird belly button).
And, of course, we snacked while looking fabulous.
PHEW! And then, of course, there's this.
Bet you can't even guess how much weight I've gained. These pictures do NOT do this belly justice. Quite frankly, I'm in denial.
How far along? 36 weeks, AHHHHH!
Clothing? Severely limited. Only 3 more weeks, we can do this!!!
Stretch marks? And then some.
Sleep? Sleeping, but waking up uncomfortable/to use the restroom a lot and having CRAZY dreams too. I did, however, get a full prenantal massage as a Mother's Day surprise yesterday and that did help my hip pain last night! Thank you, T!!!
Best moment of this week? This Mother's Day weekend has been pretty much perfect. Time with my favorite people, good food, fresh air, nuff said. Again, thank you to my sweet husband!
Worst moment of this week? Feeling emotional about my special time with Ei coming to a close. This is not a "worst," per say, just feeling extra mushy and sentimental which leads to a lot of tears which leads to a very stuffy nose. Ha!
Miss anything? Nah.
Movement? Yes, and it's quite uncomfortable! Sooo many hiccups! Still, soaking up these wiggles while I can. I missed them so much after I had Ei.
Symptoms? Achy hips and pelvis, sore tummy, decreased hunger due to the nausea I feel whenever I eat too much, and yet, still, somehow continuing to gain weight, swollen fingers and feet, severe pregnant waddle, and can no longer cross my legs like a lady. Cool.
Food cravings? I've been dying for some PUPPY CHOW lately!!!!! Just too lazy to make it.
Gender? Oh my gosh, don't get me started. I am dreaming about gender EVERY. TIME. I. CLOSE. MY. EYES. I still THINK boy, but man, I am ready to find out for sure! Good news is that T and I finally have 100% nailed down names for both gender, PHEW!!!
Labor Signs? Still having lots and lots of BH's, but no, no labor.
Belly button in or out? OUT .
Mood? Happy, mushy, and very grateful. Also, starting to get a bit anxious about my c-section!
Milestones? Another beautiful Mother's Day with TWO beautiful babies (and two sweet girls in heaven). Will be tested this week for Group B and potentially have an internal exam due to all of my contractions. Getting SO CLOSE TO SUNNY'S BIRTHDAY, under a month now!!!
Looking forward to? Every single day until Sunny's birthday (and beyond)!!!
This week's pregnancy-small-talk-gems (aka things other people say to pregnant ladies without thinking): A neighbor I literally hadn't seen since winter told me last night as she passed by (she didn't know that I was pregnant) that either I had "swallowed a basketball (second time for that comment!) or was having twins." Double nope but thnx!
Notes from doctor’s appointment: Not much to report, other than that baby is head down (I was convinced he was sideways) and HB was a solid 148 BPM. More to report next week. Fingers crossed and prayers gratefully appreciated!
Have a WONDERFUL and relaxing week, all!
Sooon sunny will be here.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you ironed out the name thing. Naming is HARD! Have a great weekend!
