37 Weeks!
All right all right all right all right. WE ARE SO CLOSE, PEOPLE. Every emotion under the sun, you name it, I'm feeling it. Happy, sad, nervous, excited, ready, unprepared, CRAZY, SANE, AHHHHHHHH!
Kinda like a baby covered in post-its, you could say.
And so! Because, as usual, I don't have two brain cells to rub together, here is our week in a nutshell. ONE OF OUR FINAL WEEKS BEFORE OUR FAMILY GROWS BY ONE WHOLE PERSON! I mean, woah. Can you even believe it?!?!
We worked on utensils! Someone is getting pretty good with a fork (not so much with a spoon yet, but hey, baby steps)!
We rode in our wagon (daddy pulled, mommy is too weak)!
We relaxed on our back (our new "thing").
We napped in mommy's arms (how will I live without this?!)!
And mommy stole some kisses.
We "indulged" and relaxed a bit.
We stole mommy's soup and then whined when we couldn't have the whole mug.
We celebrated the GRADUATION of these two yahoos! So so so happy to have our aunts home FOR GOOD (and mommy is soooo happy to have a little temporary babysitting)!
We giggled and smiled.
We acted sneaky.
We posed for extremely unflattering pics...
...and a few adorable ones, of course.
And then, of course, my special doctor's office edition BUMP pic!
For MONTHS I have been feeling like my mirror pics just don't do my belly justice. NOW do you understand when I tell you that I really am giant?!
How far along? 37 weeks + 3 days, someone pinch me!
Clothing? Comical at best, and most shirts are stained with some liquid that I absolutely could not avoid spilling on my giant tummy. Que sera.
Stretch marks? And then some.
Sleep? Waking up with sore hips every few hours. Rolling out of bed to use the bathroom is basically a Three Stooges routine at this point. But, still "sleeping," so, shouldn't complain I guess!
Best moment of this week? My sisters and brothers coming home for the summer, wahoooooo! Spending precious quality time with my best girl. Hearing sweet Sunny's heartbeat today, and watching Eileen's eyes light up as she listened!
Worst moment of this week? Super duper sore again, to the point where I can't walk sometimes. Also, had a 3.5 hour staff meeting for my part-time job this week which required me sitting on a super uncomfortable chair and not moving for way too long. I was in a dress, and because I can literally no longer cross my legs, I had to drape a sweater over my knees. Not my finest hour.
Miss anything? Nah.
Movement? Yes, still wild in there! Slower than before, but still definitely moving more than Ei did.
Symptoms? Super sore back, hips, and pelvis. Super itchy eyes out of the blue, like, CRAZY itchy. Swollen fingers and feet. Severe pregnant waddle. Lazy parenting (i.e. if Ei starts to whine, I'm like, want a pacifier? Want some milk? Wanna watch TV? Want a million dollars? It's yours babe).
Food cravings? Sweets sweets sweets. Chocolate. Lemonade.
Gender? Every single family member is betting on boy. And I'm gonna stick with boy, too.
Labor Signs? Still having lots and lots of BH's, but no, no labor.
Belly button in or out? OUT .
Mood? Pre-c-section anxiety is creeping in, but in general, I am happy and very excited (in addition to every other aforementioned emotion, haha).
Milestones? Being UNDER TWO WEEKS until D-day is a pretty big milestone, I would say!!!!! Baby is fully developed and just gaining weight at this point, holy cow!
Looking forward to? Every single day until Sunny's birthday (and beyond)!!!
This week's pregnancy-small-talk-gems (aka things other people say to pregnant ladies without thinking): A couple stray "woah's" at the staff meeting yesterday. Whatever. I am pretty "woah" these days, I accept that.
Notes from doctor’s appointment: Positive for Strep B, ugh. But I will need antibiotics for my C anyway, so I guess it doesn't really matter. Not dilated at all, but "very soft" and baby's head is as low as it can get. It is also "wedged in my pelvis" says the doc, which is why I am feeling so much pressure and pain. But, HB was a strong 148 BPM and movement/accelerations/everything was great. I have ONE APPOINTMENT LEFT. Shut the front door. Let's do this thing!!!!!
Thanks for all of the prayers and positive thoughts. Know of my prayers for all of you as well. Until next week....... !
Yeah !!
ReplyDeleteI still don't think you look that big. Especially because YOU ARE ALMOST DONE! Can you stand it?! I am going to go with girl because I like to guess contrary and the heart rate and sweets thing. Which were my big indicators. But
ReplyDeleteI think you look just about right for where you are. You're doing great!
