Weeks 22-23!

Oh summer, you are flying by! I write this post tonight from my parent's house, as we have officially moved in here for the foreseeable future. You know, because being pregnant and having three small children isn't crazy enough? We decided to also try to SELL OUR HOME / POTENTIALLY MOVE, meaning that our house needs to be clean at all times for showings, and we needed to move the heck out to ensure that. Crazy. Crazy. Crazyyyyy.

And so, we are kind of in survival mode right now. We had a contract accepted on a home we love, but it is a contingent contract, and we have like...3.5 weeks to sell? And have had only one showing. Sigh. It might not happen, y'all. It might. But it might not. Regardless, we are camped out here until further notice. Living out of grocery bags and suitcases, literally. Sleeping (if you can call it that) in a bed that is not mine. Trying to cook out of a pantry that is not my stuff. Attempting to reign in my kids as they trash this home that is much larger/harder to pick up than my own. Needless to say...it's not my favorite. But we are grateful nonetheless!

In the midst of all this, we have taken TWO mini-vacations! First, Tim and I went to MN for four days with some dear friends and relaxed/enjoyed some QT. As some of you know, Tim and I used to live in MN, so it was big time nostalgia for us. It was truly a lovely trip.

THEN, the next weekend, we took all three kiddos up to New Buffalo, MI to stay at our friend's lake condo. It was great! Despite the chaos that comes from "vacationing" with small kids, we really did enjoy ourselves. Tim got food poisoning on the second night though, so, that was a bummer. Other than that, lots of pool time and laughs.

And shenanigans in general...as always!

Sister book time...sigh...I miss this nursery already!

She will always be cooler than me.

Let's face it, they all will be!

Messy girl.

Back at the spot where Tim popped the question 8 years ago (and yes, I'm officially at that point where my belly leans against bathroom sinks and is always wet, haha!)

Th is is where I found my romantic post card with the infamous marriage proposal inside!

Much needed romantic dinners with this guy.

Winery, sans wine!

Enjoying some quality girl time/latte time with one of my best girl friends!

And of course, daddy pile-ons at back at home!

Pool time in New Buffalo!

Always stylish.

...and back "home," goofing off at Nana's house!

Attempting to get soaked in rain storms!

This is a perfect picture of what life looks like right now. This is my childhood bedroom piled high with toys, kids, and general chaos!

...but ice cream makes most of those things easier.

So there you have it! Lots going on, as summer chugs steadily along. Was shaken to my core today when I found out that an old friend of mine who was only two weeks ahead of me in pregnancy went into early labor last night and delivered her sweet boy via c-section (25 weeks) early this morning. He is only 1.5 pounds but as of right now, fighting and hanging in there. His name is Patrick, and his parents names are Madeline and Andy. She delivered a stillborn two years ago, so this is particularly traumatic for her. They do have one living son, Conor, who is 18 months, but they have been through more than their fair share of baby drama. Please pray for them. I don't take a single moment for granted with you, Snug. You stay cozy and just keep growing.

Here's some outrageous 22-23 week bumps to make you all giggle.

22 weeks!

23 week vacation bump!

And a bonus swim suit bump, because I have never been this preggo-fat and forced to wear a swimsuit before, haha!

Onto my bumpdate!

How far along? 22 weeks and 6 days!
Clothing? I have hit a weird patch in my wardrobe because I don't quite have enough warm weather stuff to get me through the rest of the summer. Time to get creative!
Stretch marks? Yep.
Sleep? Slept on the best mattress of my life in New Buffalo this weekend. Coming home to the rock hard mattress in my mom's guest room was a rude awakening (love you mom).
Best moment of this week? A great weekend with my family in MI! It was really so lovely to be together and enjoy this beautiful season.
Worst moment of this week? The news of my friend and her little guy. Still sick over it but praying hard.
Miss anything? Wine. Beer. The sun makes me miss it!
Movement? Yes! Lots of regular movement now. Girls love to feel it and light up when they do. My heart melts every time.
Symptoms? Tired, plantar's fascitis, sciatic, definite weight gain / big appetite, super sore boobs, sore lower back, poor sleep, and now heartburn-related nausea when I eat too quickly.
Food cravings? Cheese and crackers all dang day.
Gender? Probs girl. Getting closer on names!
Labor Signs? Nah.
Belly button in or out? Outie.
Wedding rings on or off? On, but fingers swelling in this heat! Feet too!
Mood? Grateful. Blessed.
Looking forward to? My 24-week appt. next week and hopefully figuring out our housing situation very soon!

Until then...love to you all!
