Weeks 17-18!
HEY HEY HEY! Here we are again! Nearing the halfway point, which is CRAZY. Two weeks until my big ultrasound. I can hardly wait to see you again, Baby Snug!!!
You can't necessarily tell from the pics (unless you look really closely at the left side of Kiki's face...), but we've had a doozy of a two-weeks. First, Kiki fell at the park and really banged up her poor head/cheek/eye. I'm talking BLACK AND BLUE, including a black eye, for going on a week-and-a-half now. Poor thing. Maeve also took a tumble at the park, but no marks to show for it, thank God. But honestly, the three of them are covered in bruises. Do you know what I'm leaning? The park is too dangerous of a place for this pregnant mama. I just can't chase them all. It's too nerve-wracking.
Other than that, we've been trying to keep busy. A stomach bug has been making its way around the house, starting with Kiki and (hopefully) ending with Maeve. I can't tell if I've had it or not. I feel honestly miserable, but maybe it's just you, Snug. Hard to say. Regardless, we are hanging in there and trying to enjoy summer! 86 degrees today...holy cow, finally! It's almost TOO HOT! Am I allowed to complain?! Haha!
And so, because my baby is not napping and I was up for two hours in the middle of the night trying not to puke, I will wrap this up. Forgive me, Snug. This really is an accurate depiction of crazy life these days!
Here's the big ole bump!
Week 17!
And week 18, PJs of course!
How far along? 18 weeks on the nose!
Clothing? Just bought a new maternity bathing suit and a few pairs of shorts...much needed for a few upcoming trips, yahoo!
Stretch marks? Yep.
Sleep? Awful this week. So nauseous and so tired. Yuck yuck yuck.
Best moment of this week? Felt baby for the first time on the outside a few days ago! Pretty sure I snuck up on you, baby, because it was only once and only a tiny one...but I'll take it!
Worst moment of this week? Miserably sick, honestly. Dizzy, nauseous, no appetite, headaches, tired, etc. Ready for this part to end.
Miss anything? Wine. Mmmm.
Movement? Still waiting for the big awakening. I feel some pops and wiggles at night when I am still (the only time of day I am still, of course), but dying for more.
Symptoms? Tired, dizzy, nauseous, bad balance, bad sleep, and super short of breath. Also, SUPER short on patience. Between everyone being sick and my Maeves crying and whining literally ALL DAY FOR A WEEK+, my nerves are fried. Hormones not helping there.
Food cravings? Honestly, not much. Which is keeping my weight gain down. But not sure it's worth it to be nauseous!
Gender? Feeling girl again, because I don't know how to feel anything else. But Eileen swears it's a boy and wants to name him "Rufus." Hmmm.
Labor Signs? Nah.
Belly button in or out? Outie.
Wedding rings on or off? On, but fingers swelling in this heat!
Mood? Crabby and on edge, honestly. Ready to be done with this sickness!
Looking forward to? My 20-week ultrasound! More wiggles! A few fun trips we have coming up are also on the horizon!
That's it, because I am out of juice! Until next time!!
