29 Weeks!
The last week of my 20's! Oh gosh, in about six months I will be saying that for real...Lord help me.
Happy belated Thanksgiving, all! Did you have a good turkey day?! I sure hope so. Despite dodging some heated political debates at the table and changing more than one dirty diaper mid-meal, our day was lovely. I was starving, and then full immediately...I forgot how quickly that happens when a small human is taking up 99% of the space in your tummy. But don't worry, I was hungry again for dessert.
Leading up to T-day, we've been hanging out and enjoying this pre-snow weather. I am still making it a point to get out of the house on an errand or trip EVERY DAY, if not multiple times a day, because if I don't we all go totally batty. Which, we are anyway. Sleep is elusive these days, between the girls alternating night terrors (3 days in a row, and counting) and not being able to find that sweet spot on either very, very sore hip, I am a tired mama. Everyone in our house is tired, actually. And that is never good.
But we solider on, because today officially marks the CHRISTMAS SEASON!!! I LOVE CHRISTMAS, always have, always will, and I am already beginning to see how much my big girl loves it too. I know this will be a very, very special Christmas...two sweet girls, one of whom totally understands the holiday at this point and is TOTALLY getting into the spirit (the other of whom is adorable and lovable despite her ignorance), a baby in my belly, a roof over our heads, etc. etc. We are so richly blessed and I don't take a second of this season of life for granted.
Here's a glimpse into our week.
No captions needed, right?!
And here's a few from our Thanksgiving celebration.
My beauty queen.
And my wonderful family.
And my amazing kiddos!
The face we make when someone tells us "it's turkey time."
And...a bump!
Holy. Cow. I am way bigger than I was with either girl at this point. HUGE BABY OR TOO MUCH TURKEY?!?!
How far along? 29 weeks 1 day!
Clothing? Shirts are getting too short very quickly. Hate investing in new maternity clothes because I have a ton and I don't LOVE any of them, ya know? So I'm gonna see how creative I can be.
Stretch marks? Yes!
Sleep? Very poor. The universe is out to get me on this one.
Best moment of this week? Thanksgiving with my loved ones!!!
Worst moment of this week? Lack of sleep.
Miss anything? Glass of wine in 10 weeks!
Movement? Yes, lots of hard ones and at times it feels like baby is sideways in my belly. Wondering if I will have an ultrasound from here on out because I have no clue what position this child is in. Still, love feeling those elbows and feet!
Symptoms? Sciatica, head aches, poor sleep, braxton hicks, that crampy achy feeling low in my pelvis like baby is about to fall out, winded doing just about anything physical, and very tired. But not a lot of digestive trouble or heartburn etc., so maybe baby has moved out of that control center?! Did I just jinx it?
Food cravings? Baked goods and carbs. This weight is going to be unpleasant to work off, but work it off I shall (as soon as I can, haha!).
Gender? Between two girl names and just cannot decide, whereas boy name has been locked for literally years! All of this leads me to assume of COURSE it will be a girl, right?!
Labor Signs? Nope.
Belly button in or out? Outie.
Wedding rings on or off? On, but swelling! Received a beautiful diamond/sapphire anniversary band from my hubs last night as an early anniversary gift and it does NOT fit on my right middle finger due to swelling...bummer, but loving wearing it with my wedding rings while my fingers still allow!
Mood? Excited for Christmas and feeling festive!
Looking forward to? My 30-week appt. on Monday!!!! A weekend downtown with my sisters and mom next weekend!!!!!!!!! Christmas!!!!!!! Eileen's birthday!!!!!!!!!!! Baby Bud's birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am exhausted...off to bed! Goodnight all!
