28 Weeks!

Happy THIRD TRIMESTER TO ME! Can I say that?! I am so excited to be so CLOSE (and yet...so far...) to meeting this baby. Hard to believe, really. Sometimes I forget that we are actually having a baby, and I haven't just had, like, a really nasty six-month cold...know what I mean?! WORTH IT! Haha!

We have been running in a million different directions, and when I say running, I guess I really mean waddling in my case. Life has been busy, toddlers have been crabby, toys have been flying, books have been ripping, and I am not feeling great. But this is basically what I expected, down to the very last detail. And so, I say... (through gritted teeth, at times) bring it on.

The good news is that everyone is mostly over this nasty cold that we've been passing around for the last few weeks. So even though the temps continue to drop, at least hopefully our spirits will pick up a bit!

Also had my 28-week appointment this week, which went well! No word on my glucose test, so, assuming I passed. Baby Bud's was kicking away at the doppler and had a great HB of 142 BPM...boy!? My girls were always 150 BPM and above! We shall see!

And honestly, mama needs a nap today, so I'll keep this update brief and move right along to the big ole bump!

Our outside TV has moved into the house for the winter, blocking my normal "bump pic" mirror...so...enjoy my bathroom. And my huge belly!

How far along? 28 weeks!

Clothing? Those good ole stand-by shirts are getting a liiiiittle short all of the sudden...

Stretch marks? Yes!

Sleep? Not good. Putting the girls in the same room has been a rocky transition and has led to lots of wake ups, some valid and some thinking that I am hearing them. Plus, sore. Plus, bathroom trips. Etc. I.E. NOT GOOD.

Best moment of this week? Hearing that baby HB at my 28-week appointment, and SCHEDULING MY BABY'S BIRTHDAY!!!! And, yes, getting 99% of my Christmas shopping accomplished...score!!!!

Worst moment of this week? Toddler tantrums and night terrors. No bueno.

Miss anything? Glass of wine in 11 weeks!

Movement? Lots, and HARD! Some of these hard kicks have been causing crazy Braxton Hicks, which isn't fun, but I'll take it to know that baby is doing well. LOVE LOVE LOVE this phase, before the movement slows down again!

Symptoms? Sciatica, head aches, poor sleep, CRAZY BRAXTON HICKS all the time. Cramping, very sore. Basically, all downhill from here baby.

Food cravings? Sweeeeeeets this week. All 'dem sweets.

Gender? Still feeling girl, but more than prepared to be wrong.

Labor Signs? Nope.

Belly button in or out? Outie.

Wedding rings on or off? On for now, but swelling!

Mood? A stressful month in general, but overall, so grateful for the health and wellbeing of bud and my family. We are very blessed.

Looking forward to? My dear friend visits on Monday!!! Thanksgiving in town with my family next week!!!!!!! Christmas!!!!!!! Eileen's birthday!!!!!!!!!!! Baby Bud's birthday...OFFICIALLY February 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
