34 Weeks and Nursery Reveal!

HEY Y'ALL!  A rare moment of peace on a Sunday morning, so I am actually updating ON TIME! Woohoo! Small victories, people.

Sass attack.

NEW SPRING SHOES.

Relaxing during Bible study.

Cheesin' in my new chair!

Spring is pretty fun.

Eating my way through this screen...

...am I not supposed to do that?

Because things are busy busy lately, per usual, I will sum up our week by saying that it was rich, full, and exhausting! Errands, a visit to IN to see our relatives, and general craziness in between.

Picking daddy up from the train!

Helping mommy shop (reluctantly).

Special time with Grandma Ruth!

Cousin time!

Can you believe they're making us do this?

Other than that, nothing too notable, except for lots of quality time with Ei and T, and getting one week closer to meeting our Sunny. And so, as promised, a little tour of Sunny's nursery...

A view from the doorway!

Picture frames near the door...

Gallery wall above the crib!

DIY dresser!

Shelving options for girl Sunny...

Shelving options for boy Sunny...

Changing table and view of the backyard!

Book collection and top of the armoire (it's unfortunately a closet-less room, but we got the armoire for free so that helps!)

Rocking chair, and lovely tour guide!

So that's a wrap! I had to get very creative with some of my pieces (painting, buying second hand, etc.) but I'm happy with the way that everything turned out. I can't WAIT to rock my new baby to sleep in that chair...wait a second, am I ACTUALLY having a new baby soon?!

Answer: YES.

How far along?  34 weeks…baby is about 19 inches long and anywhere from 4.5-6 pounds! And I am feeling every pound of that. Seriously, this week was the first time I looked in the mirror and thought WOAH...I am bigger than I was with Eileen.
Clothing? LIMITED. Approx 4-5 shirts that cover my belly (including maternity).
Stretch marks? ::thumbs up::
Sleep? This week I've had a slight reprieve and caught up a bit, which is extremely welcome.
Best moment of this week? Feeling Sunny wiggle up a storm, playing with Eileen, relaxing a bit.
Worst moment of this week? Really painful physical symptoms. Like, really painful.
Miss anything? Wine. Can I say that over and over without sounding like a lush?
Movement? Yes, and it's getting a bit painful. Actually, quite painful. But that's okay. I would rather know that Sunny is safe.
Symptoms? Sinuses are tricky this week, very achy hips and pelvis,  noticeably increased breast tenderness, WEIGHT GAIN (seriously, this was alarming this week. I've been holding steady and all of the sudden...I'm not. Haven't changed anything either. WTH?!?!), a little bit (or a lot) of pregnancy brain and clumsiness, swollen fingers (and funny enough this is the EXACT week with Ei where I had to take my rings off! Haven't lost them yet, but I'm pushing it), and just...really, really sore. Been brought to tears several times this week. Near constant BH contractions combined with a seriously achy stomach and pinched/painful ribs. At this point, it is tougher than it was with Ei.... oh well.
Food cravings? Sweets. So y'all are thinking no DUH you've gained weight, but honestly, this was still super crazy.
Gender? Gonna stick with a little gentleman!
Labor Signs? Not officially, though the Braxton Hicks are DEFINITELY present.
Belly button in or out? OUT .
Mood? Still a bit overwhelmed with the sheer chaos of having a toddler and busy husband and messy house and big belly...if I'm being honest. But getting very, VERY excited to meet Sunny!!!
Milestones? We are done with trips and hosting until the baby come, which makes me very happy. Hopefully we can all relax a bit in preparation for this big change!
Looking forward to? My 35-week appointment, Eileen's 15 month appointment, Mother's Day, and Sunny's birthday...woohoooooo!
This week's pregnancy-small-talk-gems (aka things other people say to pregnant ladies without thinking): Ha T will be mad, but this weekend a relative more or less implied that I should give up my chair for her...and I was super confused. She is about 60 but in fine health etc., and I was having BH's to the point where I could barely move...IDK I was just...confused. Is that wrong? Also a woman who saw me waddling to put my cart back at TJ Maxx HONKED at me when I did not get out of my parking spot fast enough for her liking. So I sat there for an extra minute while she freaked out. Deal with it, crazy lady!
Notes from doctor’s appointment: I'll keep ya posted!

That's all for today...wishes for a beautiful week!

  2. I would have sat there a minute too... Charitable, maybe not.

Beautiful peaceful nursery. Great job on the dresser! And what color is the wall paint? I'm doing the kids' room right now in "Saratoga Springs" from Benjamin Moore. It looks awfully similar! Just a few more weeks to go!
