29 Weeks!

Hello beautiful people! Happy Tuesday! I hope everyone's weeks are off to a great start.

T-R-O-U-B-L-E.

We are hangin' in there are the Holi household. Waddling around. Making messes. Cleaning up said messes (sorta). The definition of "hangin' in there," pretty much.

Always stylish (much more so than her mama).

So, yeah, life is GREAT, but I'm just not feeling that great. That's okay...I remember hitting this wall with Eileen, too. And I think it was around this same time! I am a great big baby, I guess. But in my defense, I am a small person that tends to carry big ole babies (well, one so far to date). Does that count for anything? (Nah, not really. Stop whining, Emily!)

Love of my life.

Actually, at my 28-week appointment last week my doctor said this: "The rest is gonna be rough." HA! He said this because he remembers my downward spiral with Eileen (in terms of how I was feeling/coping with physical and emotional changes, etc.). I vow to be better this time, though. Pregnancy is AMAZING and I truly do love being pregnancy, like, I actually do enjoy it, I just have a lower pain threshold than some. Sigh. MOVE ON, EMILY. Okay okay okay!

Spring and winter coats?! What the heck!

So this week I've made a bit more progress on the nursery, which I'm stoked about. Still some more work to do, but I'm getting there. The black and white theme is coming together. Let's hope I don't run out of steam before sunny appears, haha! 

Dresser primed, painted, and new hardware installed. Check!

Changing table painted and baskets in place. Check!

I've also made a bit more progress on my belly. As in, it's getting bigger every day. I may just stop weighing myself, for real. My sweet tooth is OUT OF CONTROL.

'Nuff said.

Let's just get on to the reason we're all here, shall we? So we can all GAWK at my huge belly! YAHOO!

29 weeks baby! (And honestly, it looks 10x bigger in person).

How far along?  29 weeks + 2 days!

Clothing? Oh you know, same ole. Did get a cute dress for Easter, though. And by "cute" I mean it fits (well, mostly).

Sleep? I lay down for a nap every time Ei does these days but rarely get one. Either my neighbors are skateboarding in my driveway or I get woken up by a text or some combo of other odd circumstances. I am sleeping pretty well at night but just feeling groggy overall.

Best moment of this week? All of my time with Ei is "best moment" material. Spending some time with my sisters shopping for their first "interview" outfits! Enjoying some warm-ish walks outside! LOTS of baby kicks!!!

Worst moment of this week? Ugh, had some spotting yesterday. I'll get to that.

Miss anything? Nah!

Movement? This baby is THROTTLING ME. Like, pounding me to dust. I THINK this might be the reason for the slight spotting (very slight, like two snowflake sized spots...similar to what happened a few weeks ago. Doc is not worried, BTW). Could it be because I am getting beaten up constantly, not to mention the constant pressure of the constant shifting?! Eileen was nothing like this! And while I will take more movement over less any day, some of it is actually quite painful! "Emily, didn't you specifically ask for that?" "Yes, yes I did." And like I said, I'll take it. But WOW! Symptoms? Stomach is sore most of the time. Can't bend over easily and have to take it slow when picking Eileen up. Costochondritis is back with a vengeance today, I think it's because my chest is huge all of the sudden which is super uncomfortable. BUT it means I will be nursing again in no time, yayaya! Slight spotting as mentioned but nothing crazy. Starting to get SUPER emotional about all kinds of silly things.

Food cravings? JUICE, all of it all of the time. Candy. BROWNIE SUNDAES. Trying to talk Tim into one as we speak.

Gender? Boy?!

Labor Signs? Nope.

Belly button in or out? Outie.

Mood? Hormonal (but don't TELL ME that I'm hormonal or I will gut punch you). Happy. Sad. Everything in between. But so grateful, especially as we approach our second Easter with our sweet girl and baby sunny!

Milestones? One week away from the THIRTIES!!! HUH?!

Looking forward to? My 31-week appt. (going every 2 weeks now but doc is out of town during my 30th week), Easter, and a great friend visiting next week!!! Y'all, the next two weeks are gonna be NUTS. See you on the other side...if I survive!!! 

This week's pregnancy-small-talk-gems (aka things other people say to pregnant ladies without thinking): My sister told me I looked pretty yesterday. Seriously. I could have wept with joy, what a very simple and very sweet thing to hear when you are physically and emotionally spent. Shallow?! YES. But sometimes a compliment really does brighten your day!
