23 Weeks!

HEY Y'ALL! 23 weeks over here and lovin' it!

I'm gonna keep this brief because Ei is napping, and I need a nap, too. It just occurred to me the other day that my days of napping are most likely coming to a close...when I have two kiddos (and, God-willing, more than 20, when will I ever find the time?! So, that realization, combined with terrible pregnancy sleep and a sore throat makes me want to nap ALL THE DANG TIME. And I intend to, haha!

Today was Ei's 1-year check-up and she had to have three shots, yuck. But all in all, everything else went well. She has this small growth under her left breast which my doc and I are pretty sure is just "premature thelarche" (yes, I googled it a LOT) and while I've been concerned that it has fluctuated in size and is still not gone for good, my wonderful Catholic ped reminded me that it is almost certainly benign and NOT TO WORRY, that it is all in God's hands. I have a beautiful and healthy toddler, and all I can do is keep my loving maternal eyes on her. That's all! A good reminder for Ei, and for this baby, and for the next. All we can do is pray, watch, and do our best. Sighhhhhh...I will try!

Now onto...the big bump.

How far along?  23 weeks & 1 day, woohooooo!

Clothing? Same ole same ole. Nothing really fits like it should...see ridiculous photo above. Honestly, I woke up the other day, looked in the mirror, and thought...WOAH. That belly. It has arrived!

Stretch marks? Fasho.

Sleep? Not great at all. Just never feel rested when I wake up! And I have a nasty cough so that doesn't help.

Best moment of this week? Feeling Sunny kick and wiggle. A quiet and amazing weekend at home with my family full of walks, ice cream, and couch cuddles. It doesn't get much better than that!

Worst moment of this week? Needless worry. Will I ever learn?!

Miss anything? I mean, wine? But that's really it!

Movement? YES! All of the sudden this baby is non-stop. Moves WAY more than Eileen did, and I gotta say, I love it!

Symptoms? With my nasty cough, my costochondritis has flared up. Which is funny, because this is EXACTLY the week that it flared up with Ei! And did that stop me from googling "pulmonary embolism" ad nauseam? NOPE. Not sleeping great, still having a lot of trouble with my back/sciatic nerve, but LOVING the increased baby kicks!

Food cravings? Ugh don't even ask. I have been a non-stop eating machine. I am disgusted with myself (as I sit and eat a bag of Sriacha chips...mmm).

Gender? I still think girl!

Labor Signs? No siree.

Belly button in or out? Out!

Wedding rings on or off? On, for now.

Mood? Very at peace.

Milestones? Knowing that I am ONE SHORT WEEK AWAY FROM VIABILITY!!!

Looking forward to? My 24-week appointment next week, a lovely double-date filled weekend, and spring...is it too soon to look forward to better weather?!

Should we bring this back?

This week's pregnancy-small-talk-gems (aka things other people say to pregnant ladies without thinking): My ped (who I love) started today's visit by taking a look at me and saying "WOAH." Does any woman really wanna hear woah?!?! HA!
