25 Weeks...Dreaming of Spring!
Hey hey hey! Wrapping up February already, how can that be?! Did y'all have the insanely gorgeous weather that we did this weekend? It's making this stir crazy mama SO EXCITED FOR SPRINGTIME!
Let me outta here!
This week/end was a crazy one. Eileen's cold/bug got worse, as did T's, and we were battling high temps and general sickness for most of the week. But, we got our little lady on an antibiotic and everything gradually improved from there.
We were supposed to go out of town to Brown County, IN with T's family this weekend, but weren't sure we would make it with all of the germs running wild in our house. Luckily, everyone rallied just in time. We spent the weekend playing with cousins, hiking, and enjoying quality time with family. However, one thing we did NOT do much of was sleep...hence this late post, and the general disorder of our week so far. Oh well!
So that's that. Hoping for many more lovely spring-like weekends in the NEAR future! This week should be a bit quieter, and this weekend I am hoping to make some progress on the new nursery. I did finish painting this armoire a few days ago (which will serve as new baby's closet, since their bedroom used to be a porch):
Kinda antique-y distressed looking, right?
I would love to be done with the nursery before the beginning of May. BUT. Who am I kidding? I will probably be done when new baby is about 6 months old. Still, a girl can dream.
Onto the bump of all bumps!
Woof. SO MUCH BIGGER than last time!
How far along? 25 weeks!!! Baby is 13.5 inches head to toe, and almost 2 pounds. How amazing!
Clothing? Mostly all maternity at this point, but still working with a few baggy tops. However, those days are rapidly ending.
Stretch marks? Yep.
Sleep? Not terrible, but not great. I know I shouldn't complain yet!
Best moment of this week? Making progress on baby’s room, enjoying the GORGEOUS weather, and reveling in some amazing baby movement!!!
Worst moment of this week? Not sleeping at all Friday night (Miss E was awake between 1:30-6 AM). Oh well. #momproblems.
Miss anything? I guess I miss having more to wear, or more that actually looks good on me. But OH WELL.
Movement? Yes yes yes! Sunny, you are so much more active than your sister. Honestly, you are rarely not moving. And the other night before bed you were kicking me SO HARD it actually hurt a little! WOOHOO, you are getting big!
Symptoms? My back has REALLY been giving me trouble lately. Sometimes it seizes up and I can't walk for a few minutes...yikes! Also, getting a very achy belly as it grows and grows. Baby is RIGHT on my bladder most of the time, so bathroom trips are getting a bit ridic. Sinuses are acting up, appetite is THROUGH THE ROOF (trying desperately to control it), and just slowing down in general. Already?! I thought I had a few more weeks of energy left!
Food cravings? Chocolate, big time. Also, caramel on everything.
Gender? This baby is riding SO LOW (and on my bladder) that I'm tempted to change my prediction to boy. I ALMOST wish I knew, just for some direction on the nursery...but the surprise will live on!
Labor Signs? No siree, BUT, starting to get some wicked Braxton Hicks after a busy busy day.
Belly button in or out? Full out.
Wedding rings on or off? On, but fingers (and ankles) are swelling occasionally.
Mood? Gotta admit, I haven't been too cheery since the lack-of-sleep weekend. And it takes awhile to catch up when you're gone for several days. But, like every day, feeling incredibly overwhelmed by my many blessings.
Milestones? My baby most likely has a hair color now. I am two weeks from my glucose test. I am two weeks from the THIRD TRIMESTER!
Looking forward to? My 28-week appointment, going to see a show that I'm really excited about on March 6 (anyone out there listen to Gilmore Guys?!), and SPRINGTIME!
And, some general adorableness to help get your week started off right.
Have a great week, folks! xoxo
Love Gilmore Guys! I hope everyone gets to feeling 100% soon! So glad you were able to get out and enjoy the weather. For me there was an obvious difference between C and M. C was LOW and M was high so you could be right with the boy thoughts.
