12 Weeks Round Three, Y'all

Hello again! I promised that I would be back, and here I am. Back. Pregnant, and already through the first trimester with my THIRD BABY! Holy cow. God is so good.

So let's back it up. Yes, I took many MANY pregnancy tests, because I could not believe this was real. After so many months of struggling with my angel girls and then to conceive Eileen, Both Charlotte and this baby ("baby bud") were conceived on the first try. I almost feel...like a normal person, actually! And man, after all of that suffering, I can honestly say that it feel so much sweeter than I ever imagined. If you're out there reading this and you're "normal," please don't ever take it for granted. So many people wish they were you. I used to be one of them.

But today, I am glad to be me. My kiddos are healthy and growing SO BIG (and so fast). And along with them, so is my belly! For the sake of posterity, and for those who would like to compare themselves to a crazy big bump, here you have it...

The only bare belly shot you'll see...right after my positive test, and already popped out!

...there he is, my little bud!

Weeks 5/6

Week 7

Week 8

...hi baby!

Week 9

Week 10

Week 11

Week 12...woah mama!

Baby wiggly and big on the ultrasound, HB 163 BPM!

And that brings us up to date! Symptoms thus far:
  • Intense cramping in the beginning, very painful and totally freaked me out
  • Aversion to sweets! Huh?!
  • EXHAUSTED
  • Nauseous, but not throwing up and not just in the morning
  • Big big belly quite early
  • A few days of brown spotting between my 6-8 week ultrasounds that faded about as quickly as it started
I'll start my full bumpdates next week.

Until then, we are enjoying our summer to the fullest!

Headed to New Buffalo for a week on vacation. But I mean, can you even call it a vacation when you're bringing two young kids with you?! Wish us luck. Until then, my prayers are with all of you!

  1. I've been reading here since before you conceived Miss Eileen, and it just tickles me pink to see how your family is growing. And they are so, so darling. Congratulations!

    1. Emily, it's so nice to hear from you and to hear from people who "knew me back then." God bless you and your sweet family, and thanks for being part of our story!
